I love the Pompiers!!!! Okay this is how it went down. Alumni french guy calls to see if I would like to meet him and friends out tonight. Okay, then get call from AJ who is still in Paris? He wants to go out. I tell him I am meeting other alum who he knows and we agree to meet at 10:30 at the end of my street. I am looking cute standing on my corner waiting for AJ. And a car stops and two guys lean out window and say "how much?" WHAT?!?!? Yes, they think I am a hooker! I don't know how to say hooker in french (I did not think it would come in handy but will definitely try to learn it) but try to explain in french that I am not a hooker. They look confused that I am sending them away. Although, I really need the money but not that bad! They finally drive off looking puzzled and I call AJ ...911 where are you???? No answer. Another car, not kidding, same scenerio. For those of you that know me I don't dress all that sexy. I had on a white halter blouse (cute not slutty) and black pants normal sandals not F-me shoes. I keep walking and try to ignore the "how much" cat calls and keep dialing AJ. He answers and I see him so relieved to be saved. I tell him the story and he looks like he doesn't believe me. Whatever! I would not lie about such a charming story! We jump on the train to St. Germain to meet other frenchy alum. We are walking towards area I am on the phone with frenchy and he says you will see a huge line and walk past it. Why...do I have to stand in said line or what is the deal? He just says call me when you get close to the front and will find each other. Okay? AJ and I are on the corner and I spot very tall, skinny guy (Gay alum and friends!!!) I run up to him and he is also meeting frenchy alum. We all walk to meet frenchy and he is near the front. I ask him what the F^%&^%^* is going on here? I can hear music blaring is Madonna in concert??? He says no it is the Bals des Pompiers!! What is that? The Fireman's Ball. Oh cool. Note, previous post we like the pompiers and get rides from the Chief! We get in and it looks like animal house but international and bars serving Champagne. Needless to say it was tons of fun. The Pompiers ended up putting on a show and stripped!!! I don't have those pics yet but will post them as soon as I get them. I LOVE PARIS!
